Avatar - An avatar is the little picture to the left of a message. It is a representation of you. An avatar should be fairly small (100x100 pixels or less) Your avatar must be uploaded to an image hosting website. This forum does not support images! I will give a few URL's for image hosting sites at the bottom of this post. Most image hosters have pregenerated code for forums.

To apply your avatar you must go to "Go > My Space > Profile > View/Edit Complete Profile, then scroll down to the avatar area and click "Edit" Once there, click on the link in the this example picture and paste the url of your avatar.



Sig - Sig is short for signature. It was supposed to be like a signoff, like at the end of a letter. People use it for pictures and quotes most of the time now. Getting a signature is much like getting your avatar. If it is a picture you must load it from an image hoster. You can also do text, which is a lot simpler. Text you just simply type in the signature textbox (shown in my second image), whereas a image you simply paste image code into the signature textbox.
