Saw the show last night, 11th time total seeing Static-X and despite the short set it was one of the best shows I've seen them put on. The setlist was as follows..

Cold
Dirthouse

The rest of the show was pretty good. Dope apparently isn't on this tour anymore, Bury Your Dead was really good, Suicide Silence wasn't bad either.. they got the audience in it, Static-X was amazing, BLS always puts on a great show, and Mudvayne, while I'm not a big fan puts on a good show.

The Soverign Center was really dead however, less than half sold out, tons of empty seats, really lame crowd. Hopefully the rest of the tour isn't like this.

Coolest thing is Static-X is recording their sets this tour and you can buy them on a flashdrive wristband (audio only) with some extra video features.. 25 dollars is a little steep, but it's still pretty cool. Not much else in terms of merch from the band though, 2 guys shirt (one tour, one standard) a pink girls shirt and a wristband.

They played for only half an hour, which seems too short though. 45 minutes would have been better, they could have put some more new material in there since they really just relied on old material. Not too bad for a greatest hits set though. Tera was there, very slutty looking may I add.. they had a cool backdrop, Wayne's voice sounded just as good as ever, and it was a great show. I hope the rest of you enjoy it as much as I did.

I was there too. Yeah, it was pretty pathetic how empty the place was. They should have just done a club tour. I was kinda disappointed because of the weak crowd and the short set, but damn, Tera was fucking great when she was dancing on stage.

Wow, really short set. It sounds like they are on fire though, cant wait for the end of the year when they come back to aus!

I have seen the show twice now and both times it was short as hell. The last one I saw was this past saturday and I got to tell ya that I was very dissapointed in how mudvayne left stage. We all pounded the floors and seats screaming for at least 10 minutes straight and no oncore. It's like they could careless about what there fans feel. Don't get me wrong, the show was good but time was the factor. 5 hours in total. Unbelievable!

as a fan of both bands (static and mudvayne)I would just like to say something about that.

a couple years back I was in San Diego to see Mudvayne...long story short my buddy and I waited after the show to meet the band...waited then finally they came out of the tourbus.
I met Chad the singer and asked the same question.
I've been able to watch them live almost as much as Static<[bout 20x's or so) and as far as I can recall no encores...
he said they just don't like encores, they just wanted to play their music for the fans as fans..no rockstar stuff...just play it all.

most of the sets I have seen Mudvayne play are longer than the past two shows I went to. which worries me for other reasons but yea I don't want to speak for them but just a little insight

BTW getting back to my first statement I have been waitng for the two of these bands to tour together since becoming a fan and I am so pumped to be there and see 2 of the best on a single night Wow!
next I need a coheadliner..I can only dream!?

Whether or not a band plays an encore they are still gonna play the same amount of time.

I do like encores myself just because it's like a warning that only a few songs are left so make the best out of them.

AGREED! It's also a "just a few more songs, then you can sit and rest those feet since you've been standing for hours and hours!"

I as well as you ^2^ I love encores and I guess I was really looking forward to the tours of the past. Even though it was short it was extrordary and I was proud to be in the midst of creators.

I wouldn't say I like encores, but to me a concert feels incomplete without one.

^^I think that's why I like encores because I know it's the end of the show. When there's no encore I'm left wondering if that was it or should I keep waiting...then the house lights come on and alas, no more songs.

How did the crowd react to Static-X during the Pedal to the Metal tour?

The crowd seemed to like them.. there were a lot of Static-X fans up front, but like I said the place was pretty dead all night. If I remember correctly Cold got the best reception of the night.
