This might seem like a long time ago. Last year in May, I went to Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. You had told me that if I came early, it would be possible to meet you. I failed, everything went wrong and I was there hours later than I would. I had made a drawing of you, I knew it was too late to give it to you, but I decided to bring it anyways. During the awesome concert, my two friends and I were standing in the front row. When you was on your way to the stage, I couldn’t believe my eyes, was this real? Was that the man I admire more than anyone else? During Your songs, I couldn’t feel any better than the times the three of you and I had made eye contact. I had my drawing in my hands, and I waved it at you guys, Koichi (thank you!) came and took it. He gave the drawing to you. I have never felt happier in my life! Then you held up the drawing and showed it to the crowd, they took pictures, applauded and yelled “Yaaay”. I was crying this was the happiest moment of my life. Now… every day that exact moment comes to my mind. Minutes later, a security guard came and gave me a guitar pick; he said it was from the band. I still have it, and I will keep it to remember the best day of my life. Wayne, do you remember? I don’t care much about what you did to my drawing afterwards. I am HONORED that you saw it, I could never wish for anything more. My friend took a picture, it’s on my desktop background I get so happy every time I see it, but I also just want to rip myself apart. Will this ever happen again, someday I hope to return to the United States – the place where all my dreams came true. Thank you.
Best luck and wishes Brigit, exchange student from Denmark.
