So I spend all this time making custom hats for you and I don't get the opportunity to give them to you personally because you couldn't step out of the bus in Albuquerque for 5 minutes. Instead, all I get is a half-ass reply from a go-between. Even if you would have stuck your head out and said "Thank You Lisa" that would've been all I needed. Not to mention this isn't the first time you've done this. Simply walked past your fans when we're the ones who make static-x what they are. It's becoming so that fans have to pay money to get a mere glimpse. What ever happened to being "humble and gracious" and "willing to take pictures, and time out for people"? -Lisa L., a fan let down. [p.s. sorry to the rest of you, had to vent somewhere]  |

I met him and took pictures with him at the meet and greet, I didn't think he was a jerk. He did seem a little out of it though that night. Actually the only one that was lively was Tony, and I had a great time chilling with him.
I'm sorry that happened to you, but he is a busy guy, maybe he didn't have enough time to get out? I don't know, I can't really make up excuses for him, but I'm sure he'll explain himself. |

meh just because you had a bad experience with Wayne doesn't mean he's a jerk.
Take him posting on this message board for an example, he has what, 600 some posts? How many band members on other message boards even accumulate 1/10th of that? Not very many. Wayne is always here answering our stupid questions and giving us updates on his band. Not only that but most of the hardcores who post on the Static-X side of the boards have gotten to meet him, and don't really have negative things to say about him. I mean, you are right, he's not the easiest person in the world to meet, but that doesn't make him a jerk. It'd be great if he could take the time out to meet every fan, give an autograph and take a picture, but probably doesn't have the time nor the energy. Not to mention he is meeting fans in the meet and greet before the show as well. There are bands out there where it's impossible to meet anyone from the band, there are bands out there where even if you do get to meet them the band members don't want to give you the time of day. I don't think many people here have experienced this with anyone in Static-X. I understand your disappointed, I would be too, but that hardly makes Wayne a jerk. There's always next time.  11-23-08 |

wanye a jerk NO! when late for a radio interveiw he took at least five minuets to talk with me and my girlfriend talked about the europe stuff and how they were having bus troubles here at home signed bunch of crap i had with me. it was awsome. Thank you wayne and tony for signing my stuff

Lisa ~ I am so sorry to hear that! Wayne is one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with. He may not have been feeling well. I know at the show last night, he was having voice issues. Just think, he has been on tour for awhile, it's not easy. I usually don't bother waiting to meet my idols - appreciate the fans wait, but they have buses to get on the road for the next gig. I know a tour bus driver & they have pretty tight schedules. Just knowing I am in the same room for a couple of hours is enough for me.

Sucks for the bad experience, but not all people can put up a happy face all day everyday, they've got their rough times just like the rest of us. As for Wayne being a jerk...well I'd never say that. I've met him at least 10 times and even though I always ask for him to sign a sleeve or ticket stub and a picture he never says no, always takes his time talking about this or that and is always pleasant and down to earth. I'm not trying to brag, just showing that you probably caught him on a bad day.
