Just wondering if there's any chance of an audio cd being released in the same package?

Queens of the Stone Age did this a few years ago (Over The Years and Through The Woods) and it was a great package.

I'm sure the DVD will be great regardless though.

If not, I'm sure there's some way for you to rip the music from the DVD (I'm not sure if that's the right term, but you get the idea)

It can, and already has been done. I did it with the SAW DVD. I took the live rehearsals & some misc audio clips of them talking to make my own little bootleg CD. I'd like to share it...but am unsure if Wayne or Warner Brothers would have a problem with that.

Huh? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. I'm talking about the studio rehearsals.

Wayne has said on this site before that he has no problem with people sharing bootlegs. There actually even used to be a stickied thread over on the main board with bootlegs in it, but once people stopped posting them the thread vanished. Carlos was really the only one sharing, I guess that's why.

he mentioned i think on the thread natalie posted that there was going to be a special edition possibly with extra videos from the old days.

The dvd will include a separate audio cd as well. Keep an eye on Static-X.com for info on pre-orders and details on the special edition package which will include a poster and another dvd of a Static concert from 1997. we're still on track for an October release. This dvd is fucking awesome!

It'll probably be a 3 panel cardboard case with a 2 disc holder in the middle panel and a single disc holder in the left panel and the right panel holding the folding poster, which I presume will only be a few folds big.

You could even fit it all in a standard DVD case if you used a 2 disc holder in there as well.

Wayne, can you shed some light on what will be on the audio cd? Live songs/concert? Unreleased stuff?

Another question -

I am very very [unbelievably] interested in studio footage of the recording process and of watching the band playing the songs in studio. Seriously, I could watch Wayne, for example, sitting in a wooden chair with a handycam turned to face him, holding his guitar and playing every song from WDT through Cannibal in one sitting, I find it fascinating. Will there be a lot of studio footage like what was seen on X-Posed for example on the DVD?
