ahm...i know a lot of bands are doing this.
is there a chance you'd let your fans remix one of your songs? or what about a remixing contest? haha i guess you guys won't do that. anyway... asking is for free... |

Umm... I think that comes from bands not having any original ideas! Rememberr a band called Limp Bizkit? They put out a remix album, with 4 or 5 songs... which were each remixed 2 to 4 times each!! Such a bad idea... Static-X already has a few of their songs released as remixes. Just check out Beneath, Between, Beyond and Cannibal. Those remixes are... meh... but not too bad. ***Attention Wayne Static*** STATIC-X NEEDS TO COME BACK TO WESTERN MASS!! *thumbs up* |

zomg your opinion is different than mine you're a retard lulz!!11one!![]() |
They already did this actually. When Black and White was a single you could remix it and enter it into a contest.
Tons of bands put out remix cds, and it's not because of them running out of ideas. Take NIN for example, Trent puts out a remix album after almost every release he ever does, and most of them are great. I would love to see a Static-X remix cd. 11-23-08 |

A remix or two here and there can be cool, but an entire album of them would probably get tiresome. Maybe a rehash of some old faves as bonus tracks would be a better way to go...plus then it helps the band have another bash at songs they may consider as being stale (I know that if I played a song hundreds of times I'd probably get bored of it lol)
