There's two reasons why I ask this:

1) Obviously Static-X has a very unque sound. I tend to describe it to people as a mix of Industrial and Metal....though i have encountered some people who dont know what Industrial sounds like. So then i just say, "They refer to their sound as 'Evil Disco'". Which got me thinking....What Static-X song would you guys say is an embodyment of Evil Disco? Like if someone said, "Evil Disco? What does that sound like?", what song should i play for them? I myself have a little trouble pin pointing it since i have heard very little disco and i'm not sure if other disco sounds from the past have actually carried over into Static-X's songs.

2) Back when the "Ask Wayne" thread was active, he had mentioned that he already had some idea (in his head) about what the new, post-Cannibal album would sound like. When asked, he responded with, "More Evil Disco". I wanna get a better idea of what to expect/hope for the new album based on the responses to #1.

imo the embodyment of evil disco are songs like stem and the trance is in motion. Other close ones would have to include Transmission+Invincible, Break it, Brainfog, Cannibal and maybe destroyer.

Well, when Wayne introduced I'm With Stupid at the last gig (in Sydney), he said something like "We're taking it back to the begining, Evil Disco Style - This is a song called I'm With Stupid". Or something.

So, from Wayne's mouth, I'm With Stupid is Evil Disco.

Although, a song can't personify a label..i.e. a song cant personify evil disco, as evil disco is not a person. But, maybe I'm with Stupid is the Epitomy of Evil Disco?

Who knows? I like all their songs

push it, machine, songs like that. id say that the last 3 albums dont quite hit the 'evil disco' sound, but they are good, gothic (shadow zone), industrial (start a war), and ministry style speed industrial (cannabal)

If you think about it, almost all of their songs show some Evil Disco in a way.
The one I beleive is the definition of Evil Disco is probably Behemoth. It has a ton of trancy dance beats on it, while combining hardcore, thrashing, very deep guitar chording.

I've gotta agree with YourDad on this one... Behemoth definitely. For me though, This Is Not is pure evil disco. I dunno why, that's just how I feel about it.. that one and WDT...

hippies lend me your ears, take a song like push it....slow it down....slower....dude you will hear the disco, this is not is a good one too....if you listen carefully you will hear the disco. Its like they took some disco tracks and gave em speed add guitars bass ect and u get STATIC-X!!!
