Sorry to say guys but I just turned 40 this year - I have worshipped the X for years - my daughter caught me listening a couple of years ago .... yes, she was hooked also. I took her to see them in London this year. She is now 18.

You don't know wot your parents listen to when you are tucked up in bed .... its our time to be ourselves.

still searching for my tattoo'd man...

"Turn that crap down" is the usual response I get. That's why I love being able to have my own place, no more being woken up by Abba or Robbie fucking Williams blaring full volume in the morning ¬_¬

Lol! Sorry Gaz, I know exactly how you feel. But you think that, until you actually move out and realize how much of a pain in the ass it is money wise. I did it, and moved back in with my parents. Now being woken up every day by Elvis Presley doesn't bother me so much.

Fuck that I'll take financial difficulty over being waken up by Mika at any time of the day. Still, I'm not at my parents house now so it's ok.

First time my mom ever heard static-X was when I bought Machine and the song Otsego Undead came on. My mom overheard and thought he was saying "Rot in hell" over and over.

On a rare occasion, my parents get to hear my music. Usually, my parents have way different reactions. My dad is silent, but my mom likes to let everyone know her opinion. My dad tries to imitate the growling screams. He is a funny dad sometimes. haha. My mother always makes the common reference, "devil music". When she heard SX, she had no idea how I understood what he was singing. She wasn't into the vocals or music. What is weird is she likes some of my music, but never the vocals. She really enjoys Finntroll, but thinks they would be a lot better without the vocals. Oh...Mother!

I am a parent too and I dig SX. Wink
